Empire star Jussie Smollettwas recently a victim of a homophobic attack in Chicago. The actor who has since received love and support from fans and friends including Kevin Hart and Empire cast has finally broken his silence on the issue. Smollett told E News that he is “OK” making it his first public statement since the assault in Chiacago. He said:“Let me start by saying that I’m OK. My body is strong but my soul is stronger. During the attack, an unknown chemical was poured on him which racial and homophobic slurs were cast.
